Do
you know these people??? |
In
1968, the late Louise Arnsby, began corresponding with a gentleman
in England regarding the Arnsby Family Tree. Lional Arnsby
was very helpful but his knowledge was limited. In one of
his letters, Lional included a photograph taken during a family
get together.
The date the photograph was taken is only a guess but we know
it was pre 1959.
We have pieced together the names from Louise and Lionals
correspondence and we were wondering if anyone knows any of
these folks?? |

Andersonville |
In
early March of 2000 we discovered that an Arnsby had been
interred at infamous Civil War Prisoner of War Camp, Andersonville.
Private
A. Arnsby of the 11th Regiment, Company 1, Michigan Infantry,
Code #49830.
Remarks with his file indicate: SQUAD 7 MESS 2
EXCHANGED APRIL 1865
We
can only speculate at this time that perhaps this was prisoner
exchange. We know, from the code number with his name, that
Private Arnsby survived Andersonville.
There
is a wealth off information on the web about Andersonville.

Arnsby, click on the images below. |
